Final Reflection. Assignment 30

What sticks out to me the most formative experience is the very first assignment we did, the Bug list! I still catch myself thinking, ah that should've been on my bug list or yep that happened to me again today good thing it was on my bug list. That assignment was so simple but yet it was a great learning experience for me. I'm proud of myself for accomplishing my elevator pitch's, they might've not been good but at least I did them. I hate standing up in front of a camera and talking, when I was little I had a lisp (I think I still do but people tell me other wise) so now I hate seeing myself talking on a recording or hearing myself. I caught myself so many times like "it's okay Jaycie you don't need to turn this one in just take the zero for it" but I couldn't let myself do it, and I'm extremely proud of myself for that!
I believe I have developed an entrepreneurial mindset. I catch myself all the time thinking differently than I used to and I love it. I love being able to take something we learn in class and apply it to my everyday life style. I would recommend that the you work ahead! It's so much easier to just sit down and do a bunch of assignments at once then to do them every week. It helped me tremendously when I got busy with my other classes because all the work for this class was done so I could focus on them more. I would also say to set a reminder or an alarm for the cupcakes because I've forgotten that they were due at noon and not midnight so I missed a couple for that, even though they're only 1 point, the points add up!

  1. Hello Jaycie,
I completely agree with your statement regarding the bug list! Throughout the semester I kept thinking to myself that I should have added a certain opportunity to the list at the beginning of the year. I also frequently referred to my list when completing other assignments. The bug list assignment was defiantly one to keep for future semesters. I felt like it really introduced the class well. I also hate seeing myself talk and feel uncomfortable, but I remember thinking you did a great job during your elevator pitches. Your tip about the cupcakes was very beneficial to future students. I had a good time reading your posts over the last semester. I hope you the best in your future here at UF!

  2. Hello Jaycie,
I agree with you regards to thinking differently and developing an entrepreneurial mindset. While taking this class, I have constantly had new ideas pop-up in my mind and applied the content learned in class in certain situations. I can also relate to you about setting an alarm for cupcakes. Every semester I would set reminders on my phone for quizzes so I won't miss them. I know the cupcakes open on Fridays so I would always complete the cupcakes so I don't have to worry about them later on the week.

  3. Hey Jaycie,

First off, I really liked your picture at the end! I agree with you that the bug list was one of the most memorable assignments we have had throughout the course of this semester. I think this was a great first step in developing an entrepreneurial mindset. While I did not work ahead much in this course, I definitely think it would've been easy and worthwhile to work ahead. Setting a reminder to do assignments is a good idea, especially since the points off do add up quicker than you'd think.
